Shipwreck and Mountains Tour (North Zakynthos)

This specific tour focuses on the north part of the island that consists mostly of the mountainous regions, where the wild raw natural beauty of Zakynthos is hidden. Its highlight is the awe-inspiring view of the Shipwreck, which became an impromptu ship graveyard when the MV Panayiotis washed up on that shore in October 1980. Today, it is still one of the most famous and most photographed beaches in Greece.

STOPS

• CITY CENTRE (St. Dennis church, Ammos primary school, National Bank of Greece, Solomos square and St. Nicholas church. The above buildings are the only ones remaining since the big earthquake in 1953.)
• GERAKARIO (View of Agios Nikolaos)
• ALYKES VILLAGE (View of these traditional Zakynthian Village)
• SHIPWRECK VIEW (A 20-minute stop for pictures of the panoramic view)
